DevOps Engineer Responsibilities

• To support development team and implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) to ensure smooth software delivery.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
• Write scripts and automation using Python/Groovy/Java/Bash.
• Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering Team to ensure that new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices.
• To run Proof of Concepts for new technologies to improve existing software stacks/infrastructure.

DevOps Engineer Requirements

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
• Have 3+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent software-engineering role.
• Experience in administering Linux environment.
• Experience in code deployment tools (Puppet, Ansible, and Chef).
• Strong working knowledge in DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins and an artifact store.
• Able to maintain Java and Python based web applications. Knowledge in deploying microservices is a plus.
• Familiar with a cloud IaaS like Amazon Web Service.
• Have a working knowledge of SQL databases.
• Knowledge with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience in Big Data domain is a plus.
• Must possess an open mind and problem-solving attitude.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
